Open Enrollment Lottery 2017-2018

Tuesday, November 1, 2016 - Friday, January 20, 2017
Open Enrollment Lottery Applications will be available at www.GHCHS.com beginning Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.; Applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20. Siblings must submit a separate application.

Saturday, February 4, 2017
The lottery drawing will begin in the large gym at 9:00 a.m. and will be open to the public. Attendance is not required.

Monday, February 13, 2017
Notification of randomly selected applicants will begin by mail. A waiting list will be established and posted in front of the Attendance Office and the Main Entrance.
As openings become available, students from the waiting list will be notified.

All Granada Hills Charter students must complete the Summer Transition Academy (STA) requirement in order to earn a GHCHS diploma. The STA is a three-week program beginning on Monday, July 3 and concluding on Friday, July 21, 2017. New students programmed into the 2017 STA session who do not report to or complete the STA will receive a grade of F and will be scheduled for the 2018 STA. Transportation is NOT provided. A limited number of spaces are available. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spaces, a random selection process (drawing) will be held. Only one entry per student is allowed. Applicants will be disqualified if more than one entry is submitted per student. Due to the volume of applicants, the acceptance lists and waiting lists will be posted in the Attendance Office and the Main Entrance. Late entries will not be eligible for the February 4 drawing. However, any late entries will be placed on the waiting list in the order in which they are received.
